Education for a Sensitive and Self-Reliant Society

The true purpose of education is not merely to acquire bookish knowledge, but to build a sensitive and self-reliant society.

When we laid the foundation of this institution, our primary objective was to provide Indian youth with a platform where they could learn to strike the right balance between modern thinking, characterized by Western inquisitiveness, and Indian values. This college is not just a building; it is a symbol of nationalism and social reform.

May our future generations not only leave here having gathered an ocean of knowledge, but also with a deeply ingrained sense of generosity, empathy and responsibility towards society. May they acquire knowledge, build strong character and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Dear students, you have a world to win, and nothing can stop you from attaining your chosen goals in life. Success comes from good judgment and the decision to join Vidyasagar College.
