A LEGACY OF TEACHER EDUCATION SINCE 2003

The institution was established with the noble vision of providing quality teacher education and physical education graduates and preparing them to become able, talented and socially responsible educators. The college proudly bears the name of the beloved social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

The aim of our institution is to provide professional education in line with co-curricular development, furnishing the authoritative and decision-making step towards one’s goals.

Vidyasagar School Samiti established Vidyasagar College in 2001. Initially, the society started the departments of Science and Commerce in the college. Later on, the wonderful response from the students encouraged the society to open other courses. Hence, in the year 2003, the Department of Education was established, where the M.Ed., B.Ed., B.P.Ed. and D.Ed. courses run successfully.

The institution has the approval of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of M.P., is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.

The College was conceptualized with an objective of providing opportunities for quality teacher education to its students. The Management aims at developing the College into a Centre of Excellence.
